Recent highly publicised UK Border agency visits to a number of large businesses in the London region highlight the need to use an established agency where all pre-employment checks are thouroughly carried out on each candidate prior to completeing the full registration process. Our registration process follows all current UK Border Agency employment guidelines. In addition, our pay rates are also set at or above the current UK national minimum wage of £6.08 per hour. Our records are available for all clients to examine, not with standing data protection restrictions.
Temporary Staff Delivery.. Industrial Sector.
With all of today's urgencies, the punctual arrival of staff is paramount. Rather than depending on London's busy transport system, Olympic Staff own and operate a fully insured vehicle fleet on call 24 hours a day. This is a key element of our temporary staff supply service and has been since our first day of trading in 1982. This aspect of our service offers the ability to deliver staff on a wide variety of early and late shift patterns and more importantly allows us to control the arrival time of all temporary staff. In line with current legislation, our temporary staff are not charged for this service.
Agency Workers Directive 2011...
The new agency workers regulations will become part of UK employment law from 1st October 2011. Olympic Staff are working closely with each of our clients to assess the impact of the new regulations. The main feature of the regulations is that agency workers will be entitled to the same basic working and employment conditions as if they had been recruited by the client. However, in order to qualify for equal treatment rights, the agency worker must have been working in the same role for the same client for a continuous period of 12 calendar weeks. Continuity will be broken if a candidate has a break of 6 weeks with the same client or starts a new role with the same client that is substantially different from the previous role.
A number of conditions apply to the new regulations each of which will be discussed with our clients in order to mitigate any potential effects. Please contact us if you require advice or guidance on the specifics of the 2011 AWR's
Operational Opening Times...
Our offices are open from 630am to 630pm Monday to Friday. At all other times one of our operations managers is available on 07956 241650. In addition, for weekend and evening group bookings we provide on site supervision for all staff/client liaison functions.
